Forbidden City Furniture was introduced in Hong Kong in 1997, offering a range of contemporary Chinese furniture uniquely designed for modern living.
Items in the collection are designed in collaboration with award winning European designers including Luca Trazzi and Marco Corti of Italy and Terry Kuet of the United Kingdom.
Forbidden City furniture is a marriage of Chinese traditions with a minimal modern aesthetic. Incorporating new materials and new techniques, pieces are design to suit the demand of modern living, with quality that’s fit for an emperor.
Our products are made by skilled craftsmen in Southern China. All material including wood, metal, fabric paint and hardware are all imported from Europe and other countries. For example, wood is from Burma, hardware are from Austria, Germany and Italy, fabric from Belgium, Germany, France and Spain, paint and steel are from U.K. All pieces are of original design with design copy rights registered in over 30 countries worldwide.
